Although they describe Casa Baio as a “modern farmhouse,” they say they’ve tried to incorporate as many traditional local materials, including handmade terracotta tiles, along with floor tiles made from local marble, as possible. Andrew and Proost say they try to use regenerative organic practices on the farm, which is certified organic. Andrew and Proost say they’ve definitely noticed an increase in the amount of people from the US relocating to Portugal, particularly in Alentejo.

When Insider tried searching for Threads links on Twitter on Tuesday, there were no results. Whether it's a bug or intentional, Twitter is currently limiting searches for Threads links, despite the "URL:" search operator still working for other websites. For now, there is a workaround for those wanting to find Threads links on Twitter. This isn't the first time Twitter blocked search results for competing platforms — or blocked posting links to rival platforms altogether. In April, Twitter users were unable to interact with tweets that had links to Notes, a platform created by Substack to rival Twitter.

Satoshi Nakamoto is said to be the inventor of bitcoin and wrote the token's original white paper in 2008. Nakamoto's paper, "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System," was published in October 2008. In his white paper, Nakamoto cited the work of Stuart Haber, a computer scientist credited with helping invent blockchain technology. A Newsweek article in 2014 said that Dorian Prentice Satoshi Nakamoto, a Japanese American man living in California, was the elusive inventor of bitcoin. After the article published, Nakamoto's online account revived itself after a five-year hiatus, stating: "I am not Dorian Nakamoto."

Technologist Andy Baio wrote in an April 5 blog post that he found a PDF of the original bitcoin white paper on his Macbook. He said Apple has seemingly hid the original crypto manifesto in "every copy of macOS since Mojave in 2018." Baio shared how any users could locate the manifesto on their own Apple computers. Baio couldn't figure out why, of all documents, the original bitcoin manifesto was chosen to be included in Apple's operating system. As for token itself, bitcoin is hovering around $27,925 on Thursday, and has rallied 68% so far in 2023.

Tom Baio, a Mendham Township committeeman, lost his re-election bid to his Democratic challenger Lauren Spirig by three votes, according to the Observer-Tribune. Baio told the paper that among those is his daughter, Ariana Baio, who he said voted for the Democratic candidate. The statement claimed that Duarte's adult daughter voted despite living in Knoxville, Tennessee. "Local and county Republican operatives are trying to pit neighbor against neighbor."

AI Image/Stable DiffusionHanson, who’s based in McMinnville, Oregon, is one of many professional artists whose work was included in the data set used to train Stable Diffusion, which was released in August by London-based Stability AI. Once available only to a select group of tech insiders, text-to-image AI systems are becoming increasingly popular and powerful. A piece by illustrator Daniel Danger that was included in the training data behind the Stable Diffusion AI image generator. But removing pictures of an artist’s work from a dataset wouldn’t stop Stable Diffusion from being able to generate images in that artist’s style. Hanson, for her part, has no problem with her art being used for training AI, but she wants to be paid.
